Biography
Tiger Joe Marsh was an actor who founded his entertainment career success with a wrestling career and then a role in film. In 1937, he won the world-wide heavyweight wrestling championship title. Marsh's career beginnings included film roles in "Panic in the Streets" (1950) and the adaptation "The Egyptian" (1954) with Jean Simmons. He went on to act in "Lost in Space" (1965-68), "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" (NBC, 1966-67) and "Ready and Willing" (CBS, 1973-74). Later in his career, Marsh acted in the Eddie Albert fantasy "Escape to Witch Mountain" (1975). Marsh passed away in May 1989 at the age of 78.
