Theano Ioannidou
Biography
Theano Ioannidou (Greek: Θεανώ Ιωαννίδου) was born in Athens in 1930 and was an actress with a long theatrical career, serving mainly in the classical repertoire at the National Theatre. She studied at the National Theatre School, where she immediately stood out for her figure and voice. She made her debut as a student of the School in a Dance of ancient drama. Her professional debut was alongside Vassilis Diamantopoulos, in “Fioro tou Levante” (1953). She collaborated with the troupes of Katerina (Andreadis), Manos Katrakis, Kostas Mousouri, Nikos Hatziskos, Dimitris Myrat, Mary Aroni, Vilmas Kyrou, Dionysis Papagiannopoulos, Dimitris Papamichael, Kostis Michaelides, Daphne Skouras, Gelis Mavropoulou, Marietta Rialdi, etc. Her last theatrical role was in "Bernarda Alba's House", directed by Kostas Tsianos, with the Municipal Theatre of Larissa.
