Tao Hong
Biography
Tao Hong, born on January 15, 1972, in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, is a talented Chinese actress and former synchronized swimmer. Before her acting career, she was a champion in synchronized swimming, representing China in various international competitions, including the 1991 World Aquatics Championships.
Tao transitioned to acting in the 1990s and quickly gained recognition for her performances. She has starred in acclaimed films such as Colors of the Blind (1997), which earned her multiple awards, and Forgetting to Know You (2013). On television, she is well-known for her roles in series like Sunny Piggy (2000) and The Red (2014). Internationally, she appeared in the Academy Award-winning film The Red Violin (1998).
Tao Hong is also married to actor and director Xu Zheng, and the couple has collaborated on several projects.
