Eduardo Sánchez is an American filmmaker best known as the co-director, co-writer, and co-creator of The Blair Witch Project, the film widely credited with bringing found footage film into the mainstream. Released in 1999, The Blair Witch Project used improvised performances, POV camerawork, and viral internet marketing to create an unprecedented sense of realism, becoming one of the most influential and profitable independent films in cinema history.
