Synopsis
The story takes place over the course of an evening that soon becomes very abstract. Sam and Emily are awaiting guests when, without warning or explanation, Emily recoils from him in horror. Before they can understand what has happened, their friends arrive and they are forced to play host. The rest of the evening is dominated by their guests' abuse of wine, culture and cruel mockery, while Sam and Emily struggle to grasp the changes taking place between them.
