Synopsis
After the sudden death of his wife, heart surgeon Dr. Steffen Hennings becomes increasingly withdrawn. He works a lot, but he doesn't sleep. A horrific murder is about to change his fate once again in a tragic way. All clues point to him. Why does he sit in the garden of his attractive colleague Dr. Lumis at night and watch her? Is he perhaps the brutal murderer of women that the police believe him to be? If not, why does he take the eccentric police psychologist Rosenblum hostage in the middle of the interrogation and flee? Rosenblum doesn't know whether to believe his kidnapper's claims of innocence. Pursued by the police and a hired killer, a friendship soon develops between the two men—and at the same time, Henning begins the fight for the love of his colleague Lumis. What role does she play in this drama full of lies and accusations? And who hired the killer?
